to our 2010 Debs who are once again enroute to compete for the Alabama Dixie Girls State Championship!! The State Tournament will be held in Midland City, AL begining July 16th.

2010 Fundamentals Fall Ball
Our Fundamentals Fall Ball Registration is open. You can print the registration form off of the Forms Page of this website and mail it into the address on the form or you can register in person at Play-it-Again Sports on the Beltline in Decatur from 6-8 PM on August 23rd, 24th, 26th, & 27th or on September 10th & 11th and a TBD time and location. The season will begin on or aroung September 13th and run through October 22nd. The cost for Fall Ball is $40 per child.

She's Just A Little Girl
She stands at the plate with her heart pounding fast.
The bases are loaded; the die has been cast.
Mom and Dad cannot help her, she stands all alone.
A hit at this moment would send the team home.
The ball nears the plate; she swings and she misses.
There's a groan from the crowd, with some boos and hisses.
A thoughtless voice cries, 'Strike the bum out!'
Tears fill her eyes; the game's no longer fun.
Remember - she's just a little girl who stands all alone.
So open your heart and give her a break.
For it's moments like this a woman you can make.
Keep this in mind when you here someone forget:

It is strictly against the policy of Dixie Softball for any person, either as a participant or a spectator, to engage in arguments, to use abusive language, to harass umpires, or to exhibit any behavior not in concert with the general intention of this policy statement. Team coaches are required to abide by this policy statement, and all parents and other adults are strongly encouraged to do so.
